Last week during Gokulashtami, Dahi Handis organized at several places were graced by various celebs. Ladies all dressed up in Indian clothing looked hot. Now we can take a guess why Karisma chose to wear this color for the occasion… it kind of matches with Lord Krishna’s bluish complexion, very thoughtful Karisma!
The bubbly Prachi Desai was in a sleeveless churidaar, not bad but looks faded out for her complexion.
Anita Hassanandani performed at one such events but came in to the event in this lovely saree and halter neck blouse… talk about beauty in simplicity!
The Silver white churidaar Mughda Godse is wearing is pretty but something is amiss… its not really working on her.
The controversy king was there too with his better half… good to see them together smiling just hoping its real this time. Dimpy looked really cute in that golden-brown Churidaar with orange odhni.
On left you see Kangana Ranaut in a sophisticated look for the mahurat shot of Double Dhamaal, while on the right is how she came in to the sets. No prizes for guessing which one we liked better!
Kiran Rao was present there too, and could had been a good match for Kangana’s sense of style, if not for her necklace and weird shades. Really nice midi dress but those accessories have spoiled it all!
Neeta Lulla presented her collection at the Small Business Awards; where she also was the recipient of ‘Woman Entrepreneur of the year’ Award.
After designing clothes for hundreds of Hindi movies and recently some Hollywood projects, the award was well deserved.

Lehanga with bright colors, detailed work, sequins and laces… that’s just what we like to see the bride in.
At Prakash Raj and Pony Verma’’s reception, Rani Mukherjee was in a Grey Sabyasachi Anarkali dress… is this to show that she is passing through the grey patch of her life? Cheer up Rani, this too will pass.
Mandira Bedi came in a silver white Saree and she was not the only one in white there were few others too… isn’t that a beautiful saree?
Remember Deepika Padukone’s saree at the Cannes festival, which was not liked by some fashion bloggers for its short blouse and draping style… interestingly enough we see lot other celebs copying that style and here is one live example.
One more white saree at the reception, Aarti Chabbria looks so different yet lovely in that red bindi, we took our time to confirm it was really her.
Post marriage Ayesha Takia seems to have really worked on her looks, she didn’t look so pretty at her own wedding reception.
Tanaaz Bhaktiar’s sharara with long sleeves has a different look to it but somehow without the dupatta it looks incomplete.
After sarees, lehengas and sharara its now turn for churidaars. Mughda Godse and Karishma Tanna had on them lovely churidaars, actually liked Mughda’s dress better… one cool pattern that is!
Twinkle Khanna’s Missoni print dress at Shefali Shetty’s play made us ecstatic with joy, the whole look is so classy. We need to send some of our celebs to Twinkle for good styling tips.
Abhishek Bachchan with wifey Aishwarya were present there too, nothing to talk about Aishwarya this time; actually we have not been able to take our eyes off that scarf Abhi has around his neck, too bulgy… was Abhi not keeping well or something?
Both Hema Malini and Eesha Deol looked pretty in Neeta Lulla’s sarees at the Derewala Fashion Show. We have always emphasized much on the importance of wearing clothes that goes well with your age, and here we see a brilliant example of how to do that.
Bad news at the Derewala fashion show was Neetu Chandra made a disgusting appearance in a Fuchsia gown but the good news is, since most of her past looks were a debacle, we never really expected much from her.
The age- defying Sharon Prabhakar looked really cute in that green salwar kameez, effortless style isn’t it?
Hip Hop singer Hard Kaur came in her usual raunchy style with nothing new to offer, but for some unknown reasons she looked funny this time, is it her hair?
When there’s some high profile bridal show like the ‘Eternia – Trousseaux and more’ happening out there, you can expect more than just exquisite clothes… you can expect a glamorous evening. On top you see Sucheta Sharma in Pria Kataria Puri’s gown, definitely something unusual.
Pria Kataria Puri’s Royal Rajputana Collection had some trendy wedding wear like the one above.
At the venue Pria Kataria wore one of her Kaftan gown which was also displayed at the show. It was a good way of showing that the gown can be used for weddings and other occasions too; you just have to decide how stylish you want to make the occasion.
Other designers contributed to the show were Gaviin Miguel, Deepika Gehani and Riyaz Gangji. On top Amruta Patki is wearing one of Gavin Miguel’s gown; for the western touch in Indian weddings.
Bipasha Basu looked pretty in Vikram Padhnis’s lehenga at Gitanjali organized Bollywood Nite. Wondering if Bips was tired or trying to match up her bridal outfit with a coy look?
We love Claudia Ciesla in the blue netted sari but Claudia next time try a dark color it would definitely bring out the best in you.
Shyamal and Bhumika designed this Lehenga and how well it worked for Neha Dhupia you can see; the strapless blouse is giving it a bold look yet has all aspects of the rich Indian culture preserved.
For the Aashayein screening we saw Sonali Kulkarni casually dressed in denims and nice girlish top. But, what we really liked in here is mixing and matching up so well the yellow bag and red shawl. Girls drop that boring black bag and experiment with some colors like Sonali… just be sure you match the color well with the color of your outfit.
Has Ayesha Takia lost weight or is it the black top over skinny tights that’s making her look that way?
We almost missed this, MTV VJ Ranvijay Singh’s interesting match up of blue checks shirt with black checks jacket on ripped jeans. And what do you have to say for the blue shirt half in and half out… very funky…. very MTV style???
