At the Glam fashion show there were Indian and Western clothing collections designed by Faiz Fatma.
We bring to you some decent ones but otherwise the colors used were rather too loud making the ensemble too tacky for our taste.

We always commended Sonam’s sense of dressing, didn’t we? But what happened to her this time… she was probably in the mood to experiment with her clothes, but Sonam sorry to say your experiment failed big time!
Sister Rhea looked better in that Zara Top and tapered pants but yet not really keeping up to the celebrity status but this girl is comfortable in her own shoes as she has openly admitted that she is not interested in being an actress but instead heading in a director’s path. We say yay as we do need more female directors !
And this is the look we like Ira Dubey in that cute little strapless dress. There is nothing that’s overdone or tacky in Ira style. Whom out of the three did you like the most?

Color Red is not for everyone and like Raageshwari can carry off bright red no one else can! Judge it yourself, top Raageshwari in a red dress at the arts in motion event.
Raageshwari in a red shirt, here she has matched it with a cream color A-line skirt which reminds us of the ooh so classy Jackie O!
Doesn’t she look lovely in that Red strapless gown? Except here her whole face is looking red, a little too much to handle actually.

At the Delhi couture week we saw some great work and some disasters but all in all was something to look forward to. The top designs are from Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla’s ‘Almost 24′ collection.
The peach gorgette saree, ruffled at the bottom is giving the saree a divine look… just stupendous! For this show Brett Lee was the show-stopper. Brett Lee in Indian clothes looked hotter than ever before!

There has been so many wedding and bridal shows this month that we have actually lost count. But the best part of these shows is you get to see some really rich Indian wear, especially the sarees… like the one above.
A Sherwani for a man does the same magic as the saree does for a woman. And man in sherwani with good height reminds you of the Indian Maharaja.

Angelina Jolie came for the World premiere of Salt in a sparkling black sequined Emporio Armani cocktail dress and for accessories she had only Asprey bracelet and stud earrings; that’s what we call style kept simple yet very very elegant.
Also we saw Naomi Watts in her new hair cut which we think really suits her. Naomi looked chic in the Gucci minidress and matching Pewter sandals.

Kristin Cavallari wrap dress reminds us of Samantha in ‘I am woman’ song in Sex and the City 2, also a similar version in red was donned by Rihanna at her album ‘Rated R’, see picture below; And we did not like so much either of them.

In one of the recent posts we told you about Shaina NC’s expertise in draping sarees in over 50 ways. Here are a few of the draping styles Shaina showed at the Marwar Show. Style no. 1, 2 and 3 in the above picture.
For the bold ladies out there this is a draping style you should try…
If your saree has lot of work which you would like all to see, this is one good technique in which you can wear your saree next time.
The draping style above resembles Gujarati style of draping with some variation.

Call it a Vest or Waistcoat, we see people wearing it all the time over different garments. That is why we say one trendy vest is a must in every wardrobe. On top we see stripped, jeans and checkered waistcoats, are they not making a big difference on the girls’ style?

Some more vest options , some we like and some we just want to say no-no

And we all know Vest is for Men too, on top we see the guys have used it very formally however, use it for a casual occasion on a t-shirt and no one will complain.

Looking at Urmila Matondkar only one question comes to mind and that is, Is she aging backwards? The dress is okay but the color suits Urmila so much, as if the color was created exclusively for her!

We also saw Shruti Seth in this black and white dress, looks like short dresses are so in and everyone wants to flaunt their legs.

Its party time and party means lots of well dressed individuals and when we have celebs in the party it just has to be better! Roshni Chopra is one of the best dressed actress in Telly land. She did it one more time with this Black shiny cowl-neck mini-dress.
Masaba Gupta came in single shoulder Kaftan dress and we think she looked nice in it, we surely expect that much from a fashion designer. And mom Neena wore saree designed by Masaba which would look great if it was minus those black and white pallu.
Melissa Pais’s bottle green kimono dress really caught our attention, it is such a ‘you can wear it anywhere’ type of dress.
